Dear reader,
World Mental Health Day on Saturday led me through many useful rabbit holes.
I’ve been listening to a lot of neuroscientists, learning about neuroplasticity and the abilities our minds have to change our perceptions and realities.
One piece of insight stood out to me most: constant doubt and worry can interfere with the very dopamine processes that support us in pursuing the things we really want to do, and the things that only we can do.
Worrying is all too often wasted energy.
What is one thing you can do this week to redirect your nervous system away from fear responses and toward creating instead?
What can you do to boost dopamine this week?
If you are a woman reading this who is interested in hormone tracking, please check out Clair Health, founded by a great team at Stanford (including a fellow Kode With Klossy alum) who recognized the need for more preventative, noninvasive healthcare and set out to create a solution.
A couple of steps toward feeling uplifted could be watching the film How To Live On Earth and listening to Happiness Anytime (the full album, end to end) by Leon Bridges.
Zoom out and groove, best you can!
In it with you & to going beyond the surface,
Anjali
